Site Bylaws
I didn't know what to title this, I thought about "site philosophy" for a little, but that sounded a bit pretentious. A bit of pretentiousness is not the end of the world, but then I thought of "site bylaws," and that's mildly funny. Either way, this is a set of rules I've chosen to abide by for this site, some of them are personal preference and some of them are things I think most websites should do. The site bylaws may be updated whenever I feel like it.
1: Nothing here is going to be monetized. I run this site as a hobby, and every hobby doesn't need to be a side hustle. And I think that money poisons a lot of online spaces, so it won't here.
2: I'm mostly writing for myself. Sure, the yahoo hooray chemicals sometimes go off when I look at the analytics page, but that's not the point.
3: The blog is not about anything in particular. It is just a place I write something I happen to be thinking about. Sometimes that'll be personal stuff, sometimes it might be an essay, sometimes I might be infodumping the world to spare my innocent friends.
4: I will only use images if they're helpful. I feel like a lot of articles use too many images--you've got memes here and stock photos there, there's sure to be a thumbnail - type thing at the top. I personally dislike this and therefore will not do it. If I need an image to say what I want to say, then I'll use one. If not, not.
